Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Holiday Pay
I--name removed--employed in the state of Illinois, there are more than 30 employees in this office. We were told by our managers that if we worked on Memorial day, a paid holiday we would receive time and a half, today is pay day and everyone received straight time for the hours worked on that holiday. Is this correct?

Re: Holiday Pay
It was probably an oversight. I would suggest politely asking one of your managers about it. You were on a break when you posted this question, right?
