The short answer is yes. Illinois law allows almost any type of business to organize as an LLC, with the exception of banking and insurance companies. LLC's are very useful, but they are not necessarily the best form of organization for every situation.
Before organizing in any particular form (LLC, corporation, limited partnership, etc.), it's important to consider not just what you want to do, but also how you plan on financing your business, who will own your business, and what your long-term goals are for the business. These factors are very important in determining which form of business organization will provide the greatest advantage to your business.
