Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
I have an idea for a new business. The business is a multi-restaurant delivery service, delivering food from restaurants that do not typically deliver. A fee is charged per delivery. The customer calls my business and places their order. We then relay the order to the restaurant, pick it up, and then deliver it to our customer. The following are two of my legal concerns about the business:
1. Are there any legal matters that can stop us from delivering the restaurants product for a profit if we have no contract with this restaurant?
2. Are there any legal matters concerning the use of restaurant menus without the restaurants consent? A website would have each restaurants menu retyped for our customers convince.

Interesting concept. At a minimum you would need to have disclosures and disclaimers drafted.
You might also consider having the restaurants advertise on your website for a fee.
You really should hire counsel as there are a number of areas that you need to discuss.
Good luck.
