is it illegal to sell replica handbags? i have researched a little and understand that it is illegal to sell handbags as originals if they are not, but am a little lost because so many people sell knock off's

so if it's illegal then how are people selling replica's online and in store fronts?

People speed, run red lights, sell drugs, steal cars everyday, which certainly does not make those activities legal.
