Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Is there an Illinois law to protect customers who use credit cards? I used a credit card to utilize bus services on LEX, then I canceled on the same day. Someone in the LEX business informed me that if I canceled within the same day with a certain amount of hours that my card would not be charged. I have been going back and forth for months now and I tried to work with the business to obtain my funds back onto my credit card. However, they refuse to do so. They put funds into their so called "LEX account." I did not ask for an account to be created for their business. When I asked to close the LEX account, they informed me that they do not give refunds.Today I was informed that a refund can be given if agreed on by the business owner.
