Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Illinois Saxaphone Contract
I signed an agreement between a music store and I for a rental of a saxaphone for my son. My ex-husband was up to no good and called this company to ask them for a copy of this contract - his name was no where on this contract. But on this contract was my name, address, ss# and credit card number. The company asked no questions and freely faxed him a copy and he in turned almost had a field day with my credit card number. I did catch it in time. I remarried since I divorced him and on this contract my name is different than my ex-husband - the company claimed he told them we were still married. Still, this company had no proof that who was calling was anyone related to me. They should have never faxed this to him, they only should mail a copy of the contract to the address on the contract. What laws did the music store make? I already took my ex to the lawyers. The music store believes they did nothing wrong!
