Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Insurance Proof
I have run across a new practice by Exposition Services that require me to add these companies as additional insured on my companies insurance policy everytime I attend a trade show for 3 days. My insurance charges me every time I do this. I do carry the correct amount of insurance and can prove it at any time but I have been told I cannot attend the trade show if I do not follow their procedure. Is this legal?

Re: Insurance Proof
Yes, it is legal. This is a common practice, although usually surplusage as Exposition Services probably has their own insurance.
Re: Insurance Proof
Carrying the correct amount of insurance is not the same as naming a party as an additional insured under the policy. It is a very common requirement in a wide variety of circumstances.
