Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
invalid testimony
hi my question is what invalidates a
person's testimony? can my friend's
husband be called to witness in a
case against my friend's ex-lover.
would his testimony be valid or not
since this guy is an exlover and her
husband is obviously not happy about
that... and what else can disqualify a
person's testimony and does it
depend on the typs of case?

Re: invalid testimony
Your question is way too broad in some areas, and to specific without details in other areas. That being said, the general rule is that anyone can testify about facts, and on cross-examination your attorney can question about posible bias due to the relationship.
