I would like to know if I should ask an investor to sign a confidentily contract.

It depends on what you are going to tell him. If you consider the information confidential, then the answer is yes.

Not all investors will sign a confidentiality agreement. Depending on the type of business and the number of deals that they look at, broadly drafted confidentiality agreements may affect the investor's ability to invest in other deals. But generally, there is no harm in asking.
