Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Hello Judge Mathis, I have a situation where my Husband was convinced by his brother to join this company (LNCC Icorporated) in which my husband will take out loan under his name and give the check to ( vice president of the company) and in return, they promised to pay off his loan and my husband will in return make money off of this! My husband had great credit score of 750 prior to all this! now his credit is down to 500! My husband ( Montell Leon Wilburn) is a hard working and very educated, he is now pursuing on his DR's degree in education in which we pay $ 1300 a months for tuition because he max out in loans and no bank will loan him anything. We were trying to buy a home this year but due to this unfortunate we could not afford! He does have evidence stating that the company is responsible for the loans but everytime he talk to them they give him the run around and to make things worse, his brother is one of the so called vice president. I really think they used my husband due to his good credit and knew that he was able to get loans and never did they planned to pay this loans off.
please help us?! what can we do? we can not afford to get a lawyer at the moment.
BTW THE LOANS ARE OVER $ 60 THOUSAND DOLLARS!
I thank you for your time.

Based on the information provided there is nothing that you can do since you cannot afford an attorney. You might try contacting the local states attorneys office to press criminal charges.
Without an attorney, your options are very limited. However, you should very much document your claim by sending written letters (keep a copy) demanding your money back, or at least carefully documenting what exactly has happened. Good luck
