Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
What are the laws on manufacturing and peddling merchandise using university colors, student slogans, etc.?
I know that the logos are trademarked and can't be used unless we are licensed. As an example what about the sayings "Go Sparty!", or "Go Green, Go White!" if we were to do Michigan State? What about any use of their mascots name and/or use of their school colors?

You would have to get a license from the school to sell anything that is trademarked. If you just wanted to use school colors you could still come under fire because it's not so much about what you intend but whether consumers think your product is somehow associated with the school....
