Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
I leased a a retail store store front in the city of chicago monts ago to find out it was never aproved for zoning .i ve been going back and forth with the board to get it approved I have a final meeting with them coming up in two weeks but the landlord is threating to evit me out if I don't give her the rent. Does she have legal right to kick me out

Without having the lease to review, it is not possible to provide an accurate answer.
As a Franchise Attorney I can add to the other attorney answer. If you don't pay your rent, the landlord can evict you. It's really that simple - unless the lease says you don't owe rent until the zoning issue is approved. But it's very unlikely the landlord would put such a provision in the lease. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
