Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
I live in Alton, IL which is in the St. Louis, MO metropolitan area. If I register my electrical business as an LLC in Illinois, will my limited liability status be recognized when I perform work in Missouri?

You probably need to register your LLC as a foreign LLC in Missouri. You should post this on the Missouri Law Guru site as a Missouri lawyer is in a better position to assist you..

Yes, if you are organized as a LLC in Illinois, you will need to register the LLC with the Secretary of State's office in Missouri. I would suggest that you go to their website.
