Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois

What is the maximum amount that I can charge in performing services such as interpretation services, legal services that does not require to be in written in Illinois? Do filling out paperwork such as court documents and interpretation services need to be put in writing as contract? Can those work be done as oral contract? Thanks.

You are not permitted to assist others by filling out court documents for them under either written or oral contracts. Only licenced attorneys can perform services such as preparing documents for others for filing with the court, as those services are part of theh practice of law. Practicing law without a license is a felony.

Unless you are a licensed attorney, you cannot provide legal services, and you cannot assist in completing court documents. Besides that you do not want to do so, since you would be personally liable and you would not be able to obtain insurance which might protect you.
