Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois

No Pay by employer to any employees

''We'' were supposed to be payed 2 days ago by Caseys general store. We obviously have not been paid at all. ''We'' means myself and other employees in atleast 4 others stores approximately, 32 employees. There may be even more but I have only contacted those four stores personally. I guess my question is what recoarse do we have. This weekend was made even more problematic because it is mothers day. I have talked to many employees who are angry because of this because many of them are part time and young and were looking to use this pay check to by a mothers day gift. Additionally I am going to be charged intrest on several bills that I was to pay this weekend. I feel it is wrong for me to have to pay all these extra charges because they failed to pay thier employees on time. So what can we do?

Re: No Pay by employer to any employees

There are several actions that can be taken, including suing the store in circuit court and making wage claims against it with the Illinois Department of Labor. Call me, as I would be happy to help you. Larry Stein (630) 221-1755.
