Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Using Potential Clients Logo
I am looking to gain new clients. I want to create/design some products for them(labels) and would like to use their logos, which I would obtain from the interenet(their website) in the design. Is this illegal?, unimpressive, looked down upon, or taking charge. They would only be used in the introductory meeting with the potential client. Or possibly by sending the potential client a set of ''free'' samples including their logos.

Re: Using Potential Clients Logo
Just on a personal level, I would find it distasteful and presumptuous for someone to show up at my office with items displaying my hijacked logo, not to mention the potential copyright/trademark violation. I would highly recommend contacting them first, and getting permission to do so.
