Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Question:
If you own a business doing online sales, and all of your customers are completely happy with your products and none of them have filed any complaints or claims, they love your company very very much, but the only problem is the federal or state government doesnt like the way your company is being ran so they decide to investigate.
OK this is the question:
if the government investigates your business can they question your customers and use the evidence against you in court in the form of your customers doing a physical testimony or writing a statement ?
and when you give the answer could you please show some legal documents to prove this like state law or amendments

As a franchise attorney I can say if you're company is under government investigation, there is a reason and it's not related to customer satisfaction. You conveniently leave out these details. To answer your question, yes, as part of their investigation they can and will use any evidence they collect, including customer statements. That's how it works in any government investigation. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.

Absolutely. Assuming this is a criminal investigation, the government can get information reasonably related to their investigation, and this would include questioning your customers. How about an example?
If you are an illegal arms dealer, and all of your arms buyers are completely happy with your weaponry and none of them have filed any complaints or claims, they love your weapons very very much, but the only problem is the federal or state government doesnt like your illegal arms dealing, so they decide to investigate.
Obviously the government can question the illegal arms buyers and use the information they obtain against you.
And, you seriously do not think that an attorney on this FREE website is going to "prove" his or her answer with "some legal documents," do you?
