Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Refund money & replace damaged carpet?
I am a professional carpet cleaner. I cleaned a carpet and inadvertantly damaged it. I agreed to replace the carpet, but the client is also demanding I refund the original cleaning price. Do I have to refund this money? After all, she is getting brand new carpet out of the deal.

There is no correct answer here. You should settle the matter for what ever you think is fair. In my opinion the customer is over reaching but that is only a personal opinion. NO is sometimes a very good answer. But remember you did cause the damage.
