Resturant Laws In Illinois
In Illinois, is it legal for a returant to make a waitress pay for a customers meal if the customer walks out on the check?

Generally not, unless there is a prior agreement between the restaurant and the waitress. For example, such a provision might be contained in an employment agreement or contract. If you are part of a union, this would be governed by the union's contract with the restaurant.
