Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
I run a small bussines and I sold a job.I have a contract with the customer.My installer showed on schedualed day.Customer son called me to insist how to do the job.I told customer i would come back the next day to explain the job to his son.His son did not show up.I told customer I could do the work his son wanted for an additional cost of $600 but the work was not nessasary.Customer agreed to pay the the amount.My istaller and I arived on Monday to do the job.Customer tells me his son says he should not have to pay the agreed amount.I told customer you have two options.One option is to do the job as origanoly discused or the second option the way his son wanted for the addtional cost $600.I have lost 2 days of work and expenses of more than the $500 deposit What is the concerning the deposite?
