Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Sales Commissions
I represented a company for 12 years. When I first began with them they were paying .4125 % on their top of the line lighting products. However, it was not all paid out that way. You actually received 65% of that up front then for the next 4 years you were paid a 10% (bonus) which then added up to the .4125 % they said you would earn. However if you left the company then they kept the 10%'s. When I left them they owed me over $15,000.

Re: Sales Commissions
In Illinois, the is a law that allows unpaid sales representatives to recover three times their unpaid commissions, plus attorneys fees if the court finds that the there were unpaid commissions. The "bonus" sounds bogus, and you may want to sue.
