Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Selling to Self
As an insurance agent or a financial broker/dealer, is it a conflict of interest for me to sell a policy to myself? Whether it be my personal auto insurance sold through the insurance agency I represent, or buying a mutual fund with myself as the registered representative. Does it matter if I am earning a commission on either of these transactions?
