Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Setting up a LLC
I am beginning real estate investor who wants to set up a LLC with my wife. After some research I have noticed that Illinois is one of the most expensive states to set up a LLC.
I know many investors that have set up LLC's in Nevada and Deleware, which is cheaper to start up and renew each year. I plan on doing all of my investing in Illinois. My question: Can I set up a Nevada or Deleware LLC? Or will I have to pay a fee to Illinois each year, regardless of where my LLC is set up?

In general, it is usually less costly overall to incorporate or form an LLC in the state in which the business is to operate; however, there can be exceptions. Licensed in California and Illinois.
