Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois

How do I sign over my 50% share of a small retail llc business to my partner and or someone she choose, the decision is very mutual on both our parts, and how much would it cost. Thank You. Chicago Il.

Depending on the nature of the business, a transfer can be accomplished as simply as drafting an agreement between the parties. If the LLC has holdings in property or other assets the process may be more complicated. Again, depending on the business, the cost could be as little as a few hundred dollars, or it could range into the thousands. The other attorney is right on point. If it is a simple transfer the cost should be nominal. Real estate holdings and other complications would increase the cost. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
