Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Somone used my name to open a business and is currently operating it with me as their president. The property is rented out using thier names however. What are my options? Can I kick them out? Any way I can check some tax papers without raising suspicion at least in the begining? Anything else I can check before telling them to stop or else? Thanks.

Hello. You are a victim of identity theft. You should make a police report and then take the report to the Office of the State's Attorney in the county where you reside. You should then request that the State's Attorney prosecute the person or persons who opened the business in your name. You may also want to file a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General. You can check online for details.
