Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Trader business belly up
I put up 5k into a trading account in a proprietary trading firm.
The owner one day just just off my account and the account of 15 other traders has says all the money is gone. He owes the traders 75-85k at least. We know the companty was mismanaged at least and suspect fraud at the worst. Should we call the police? Or just get a lawyer. On guy sent a certified letter to his residence detailing the amount he was owed. Why did he send that letter? Do I need to do the same?
