Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
I voluntarily had my car reprocessed because I had $1900 in repairs done to it and I only had it 3 months and it still didn't function correctly. The finance company sold it and now wants me to pay the remaining balance..Am I obligated to pay even though I don't have the car anymore?

Under most vehicle financing contracts, the borrower is liable for such amounts for repossessed autos. Perhaps you have a defense to such payment based on the failure of the auto to function properly, but, if the lender pursues you, you will be required to explain and document such reason.
