Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
I work for an Information Technology company that specializes in troubleshooting and fixing issues with our clients computers. I want to start my own business building gaming computers and selling them online. However, I signed a No Compete Contract when I was hired. Will I violate this contract by starting my business?

Hello. My response is based upon your representations that you have posted on this website.
Whether you will be in violation of the "no compete contract" will depend upon the specific language of the contract. I strongly suggests that you hire an attorney, if you have not already done so. I have some additional suggestions and comments that I can make.
