I am working with people at starting a new beverage and need to know what exactly i need to have in place before consulting a beverage to market company to ensure they do not steal my idea?

As the other attorney says, there are numerous issues to consider. Principally, you will need a good Nondisclosure Agreement drafted by an intellectual property attorney, often called an NDA. Consult with an attorney in your area for specific advice.
