Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois
Cease and Desist
Can a lawyer's letter demand a ''cease and desist'' order without any court action? That is, is it legally binding or can it simply be a lawyer's ''threat''.

Re: Cease and Desist
Is he demanding a cease and desist order, or only that you cease and desist? My guess is that it is the latter. Anyone can request anything in a letter.
