Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois
child at home in a crib
Hello, i have 2 questions about the same issue.
I am a--name removed--of 2 children 18 monts and 7 years old. I live in IL Du Page county. Some times I need to take garbidge out from apartment. Can i leave 7 year old at home and 18 months (in a crib) till i take garbige or this will count against me as i would leave kids in a car alone? And is it OK (legaly) to leave a 18 months in a crib for 5-10 minutes WITH radio monitor ON while i am waiting for my 7 years old 100 feet away from the apartment for school bus to come? Thank you and i would realy apreciate to receive the legal advice.

Re: child at home in a crib
Hello. In my opinion you should avoid leaving either child in your apartment alone, for any period of time. You could be charged with neglect, even though the time in question is for only a few minutes. My best advice is to take your chilren with you and never leave them at home alone. Will be happy to discuss this topic further and in more detail.
