Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois
My dad is threatening to throw mine and my son's furniture, toys, and clothes away out of his garage. He lives in Illinois and I am living in Florida. Can he legally do that? He payed for none of those things.
1 Answer from Attorneys
Technically he can't but it's a heck of a way to get you to clean out the garage, or pay him a visit. So I suggest before he carries out his threat, you try to deal with it in a way that doesn't make him do something that maybe he really doesn't want to do? Because after the fact proving whatever it was he threw out could become a real mess. Maybe you know someone here who can help?
