Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois
Illegal Consumption
I got an Illegal Consumption ticket. No one was given the option of a breathalyzer. I admitted to drinking because I honestly had one sip of a friends drink. I didn't want to lie and get myself into more trouble...
Basically all I need to know is what I can expect at my court date which is set for Dec. 5th. This is the first time I've gotten any kind of ticket like this. And also, I received the ticket in a neighboring county.

Re: Illegal Consumption
You should get an attorney to represent you. One key question is how old you are; if you are under 21 the law is stricter on how much you may drink. Either way though, there are plenty of pitfalls to watch out for that an attorney can help you avoid.
