Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois
Been living with boyfriend for 4 yrs. we have used his credit card through the years to pay bills get gas and food and things when short on money. I found out he is cheating and I'm planning to leave. He is threaten to turn me in for fraud and say he never knew about the charges. Can he press charges against me?

He can file a police report, but it is up to the state attorney to prosecute you for conversion. Judging by the lack of evidence that this was fraud, and his questionable status as the only complainant/witness, I doubt that any prosecution would be initiated.
As for a civil claim, that is possible, but there are also problems of proof. It was his credit card, and he should have been monitoring it.
Relationships are difficult to end, and there can be many legal threats by both parties. Based upon these facts, it does not sound like there is merit.
