Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois
I have only an oral agreement with my landlord. We came home to them changing the locks to our home without any notice. What can I sue them for if I do not want to move back in? They changed the utilities into their names so it made our payment arrangment with the power company no more. Now we have a huge bill to pay before we can move into a new place. Please help!

Tell me more about your oral agreement and your obligations under that agreement. Did you perform your obligations satisfactorily?
