Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois
Private auto lein
I am selling a car to someone, in which I still have the title in my possesion, they are defaulting on the payments. Do I have to go through court to repo the car? How would I go about getting the car back?

I strongly discourage you from using "self help" to repossess the car. With that said, if you still have title in your possession, it should be a relatively easy matter to file a lawsuit to have the Sheriffs assist you in retrieving the car. There are also collections agencies that can help you for a fee. Good luck.
