Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois
I was recently served with papers for phone harrassement for my husbands girlfriend who we were calling and texting back and forth to each other. The main reason she filed against me is because she tried to have me arrested so that I couldnt testify against my husband in another case. The reason why I didnt file anything against her is because I am trying to reinlist into the military and I could not go in with open cases and my recruiter informed me of that. My question is that now it is set for trial and she has stopped my process for inlistment and now I have to go to trial on something she started with calling and texting my phone what should I expect to happen or what should i do. Also when this is over depending on the outcome can I do after her for filing a false police report against me civily for postponing me for inlistment? Thank You
