slander
Can the police enter into your home uninvited? Can the police tell a victum,who they think slit tires on a car who they think done it ? and gave the names to the man.

Law enforcement officers may not legally enter anyone's home without (1) a valid search or arrest warrant, (2) the permission of a resident authorized to give it, or (3) when in hot pursuit of a fleeing felon.
There is no legal prohibition against law enforcement officers providing the names of suspects to the victim of a crime.
