statute of limitations
in june of 2004, I was involved in a domestic violence dispute with my girlfreind. I pled guilty and did community service. Since then she keeps threatining to sue me for money to get unneeded cosmetic surgury. how long can she hold this over my head?

Hello. In Illinois the Statute of Limitations is 2 years for personal injury. If this young lady decides to file a lawsuit against you now, chances are the court will throw it out because of the time lapse. Will be happy to discuss this with you further and in more detail
