Hello,
I thought of an idea for a website, however it is already out there. Can I still start a website doing the same thing or is it copyright infringement?

Copyright does not protect ideas (although patents can, in some cases). You cannot copy the other site's text or images, but if the only thing you are copying is the general business idea behind the website, copyright law will not stop you.
