Legal Question in Technology Law in Illinois

false advertising

I was looking for a good deal on some rental property on a website with local foreclosures when to my surprise I saw my OWN home. The website advertised that the home had been taken by the bank and was at a stage 4 in the foreclosure process. We are in 100% standing with our mortgage. We have checked with our loan officer and he assures us that the bank did not give misinformation to anyone. How can these websites advertise a home that is NOT in foreclosure? Do we have any legal ground to stand on? Would you suggest seeing an attorney?

Re: false advertising

Hello. This is definitely false advertising. I suggests that you report this to the Office of the Attorney General For the State of Illinois.
