Legal Question in Technology Law in Illinois
Filesharing
What are the laws for filesharing? I would like to know if I would be sued if I ever decided to use a peer to peer network like limewire or kazaa.

Re: Filesharing
Depends on what you do with them. P2P has been held legal. The individual is libel for copyright infringement when copying copyrighted works, but the network is not. I am a copyright lawyer and I use Shareaza, Morpheus Ultra and Ishareit, but for legal sharing only.
