Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Illinois

emails

Is it illegal in Illinois to send an email and sign someone elses name to that email. The person sending the emil did not notify the person that they were signing their name to the email. They pretended to be me. I had no knowledge of this email. I found out they done this because of the person who had replied to the original email. My boss had sent this email to upper management and pretended it came from me. She had sign the email with my name. Our company computer was used for this email. What rights do I have and what should be done.

Re: emails

There are a number of issues you raise. Depending on the email's content, your boss may have violated any number of employment laws. You may have causes of action for fraud, defamation of character, and so on. You need to consult an attorney if you want specific advice.
