Re: 9 foot ceilings in basement

Without reviewing your contract, it is impossible to know your rights. That said, if you have a contract for 9 foot ceilings and have only 8.5 foot ones, you have a claim for breach of contract -- among other potential claims -- for the difference in value of a house with 9 foot ceilings compared to the value of the same house with 8.5 foot ceilings, which would be determined by experts.
