Legal Question in Construction Law in Illinois

contractor question

My brother-in-law was asked to build a room on one side of a garage. With all the water we have had this year, water is coming in through the garage door and into the room. Is he liable for this?

Hello. He could be liable depending upon the extent to which he warranted his work. I suggests that people have a lawyer look at each and every contract; no matter how simple it may be. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
