Are you a general contractor who was to be paid directly by the owner?

Were you a subcontractor hired by a general and who was to pay you?

Is this a single family residence?

Do you have a written contract?

When was the last time you did any work?

Did you give the owner notice per statute within 60 days?

Depending on your answers to these and OTHER questions, you may or may not have mechanic lien rights, although you should still have contract rights. But the longer you wait to look into them, the greater the chance you may have lost out at least on lien rights.
