Legal Question in Construction Law in Illinois
I have had new siding placed on my house, as an insurance claim. We have the money from the insurance, but have not been invoiced from the company. I have called many times and have not received a call back from the contractor. How long do we have to hold this money before they can not invoice me? If the company is no longer in business, how do I find that out without having to drive and see if their doors are open?

Since this was probably based on a written agreement, there is may be a ten year statute of limitations.
