Legal Question in Construction Law in Illinois
about four weeks ago i installed five showers in a nursing home. i worked as a subcontractor. the contractor was paid, and will not answer my phone calls. he is currently living in Arizona. i have only a verbal contract. can i put a lien on the nursing home. what about small claims court. he owes me $2000.00. the nursing home is in Beecher Illinois thank you

You can file a mechanics lien and probably should do so. You can also sue the general contractor in small claims court in Will County and then try to collect the judgment against the contractor..
