Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
Almost 2 years ago, I purchased $10,000 worth of sporting event tickets from a ticket broker. He never delivered the tickets or refunded my money. (The tickets were purchased in an online auction from a legitimate ticket reseller). What can I do to get my money back after all of this time?

Your only recourse may be to sue the ticket broker. The limit for small claims in Illinois is $10,000, so you should be able to sue in small claims. Keep in mind, you will probably have to sue the ticket broker in the county in which the ticket broker is located. You should also consult with an attorney, since there are statutes of limitations which limit how long you have to take action.
