Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
adopted a dog together
lived with guy for 10 yrs. He bought me a dog as a gift (we both signed adoption papers together). He said the dog is his since he paid for it. I thought he was mine since he gave me the pup as a gift. I am moving out and want my dog. Please help. I was told that a dog is treated as property not an adoption.

Re: adopted a dog together
If it was a gift, it is yours and he can't take it back.
